Help bring the city and country together this Christmas by sending thousands of handmade Christmas cards to farmers all over Australia who are doing it tough.
Rural Aid and Fairfax Media are calling on the children of Australia to show their love and kindness in the last few weeks of school to make a lasting impression on our farmers who help feed us, clothe us and keep our country rolling.
To help Rural Aid distribute them as quickly as possible through Australia Post participants need to follow these steps:
1/ We want you to make the cards with your own words and design, rather than buying a card.
2/ The cards cannot be larger than 120mm x 170mm. You could fold a bigger card down to that size but this is the MAXIMUM size we will be sending on.
3/ Do not put your cards in an individual envelope. Instead, place all of them in a bigger envelope and mail or courier them to Rural Aid.
4/ Rural Aid will have thousands of envelopes here ready to put your card in an envelope and send onto an Aussie farmer.
Mailing Address – Rural Aid, Po Box 1342 Sunnybank Hills Qld 4109,
Courier Address – Rural Aid, 3/8 Colebard Street East Acacia Ridge QLD 4110
To promote this within your school, childcare centre or among your friends and family, download the poster and share it around.
All cards must be at Rural Aid’s Brisbane office no later than December 10, 2018. We will ship them all out with the help of volunteers as soon as they start arriving, so if you want to send a card you can start now.
