Corporate Volunteering with Rural Aid
Corporate volunteering with Rural Aid will be a whole new experience for your company and your team members. If you’re like most organisations looking for CSR engagement and an opportunity for your staff to do something that achieves results and is a bit different, Rural Aid is your partner.
At Rural Aid, we believe we’ve created a program that gives companies a fully immersed farm experience and helps our rural communities at the same time.
One of our most successful rural assistance programs is our Farm Rescue initiative. On these trips we take tradies and skilled volunteers into rural communities to do the work on farms and in community projects where skilled labour isn’t available or is just cost prohibitive. We perform up to 10 of these week long Farm Rescues throughout Qld, NSW and Victoria each year helping a farmer, a group of farmers or now, a community project.
Utilising the same concept we’ve now developed a Corporate Volunteering event where we’ll take you and your team onto a farm within an hour or so of Brisbane or Sydney. After the “meet the farmer” conversation and safety briefing, your team will don the gear they need for the day’s work and get stuck into it.
Our corporate volunteering opportunity includes a 1,2 or 3 day program, or a 5/7 day opportunity.
On each of these trips we organise, transport to and from, meals and drinks, protective clothing if required and for longer trips, organise accommodation. We look after you completely from start to finish and your team will have an amazing day or week and create many lifelong memories.
What do others say?
This program was an amazing & eye opening experience that I am so glad I got to be a part of. The farmers were so hospitable and lovely letting us into their home and making us feel welcome. Learning the struggles of these farmers and being able to assist with the building of some fencing that should help with the growth of their cattle & improvement of the farm gives me a great feeling of accomplishment. I just wish we could’ve stayed longer to help them more.
I highly recommend Rural Aid as an organisation that makes a practical difference to the farmers that need it most and provides the hands on experience for people seeking to get involved.
