Welcome to the Country Card.
In an effort to provide as much economic boost to rural communities, Rural Aid has teamed up with The Sunday Telegraph and other groups to spread the message about directing cash into rural business directly and without any costs is the most effective way to support rural communities in the middle of this drought.
Rural towns are in need of urgent cash injections and need all the funds they can get. This Christmas we need Australians to help fund the purchases of our farmers and rural community members with those country businesses, not by transporting donated items or purchasing items in big cities then transporting them to rural communities.
It is vital for the long term that we support our rural retail businesses.
Whilst gift cards purchased in towns and pre paid Visa cards work, they often require upfront pre purchase, some cards are never redeemed and some cards incur transaction fees.
Rural Aid has created a new card program that injects cash without any fees to the card holder or businesses directly into the bank accounts of businesses who accept the card. Every purchase made with a Country Card sees 100% of the value be paid to the retail business, no eftpos or credit card fees.
The Country card works like most other cards but with some significant differences.
All Country cards are purchased online through this website, click here to purchase denominations $25, $50, $100, $200 All are treated as donations to Rural Aid.
Cards are issued to farmers who have registered with Rural Aid’s Buy a Bale program, see link below.
There are no transaction fees, monthly card holder fee and the farmer receives the card in the mail sent directly from Rural Aid.
Farmers can spend the card at any participating business. All businesses can accept the card so long as they are registered to accept the card
Businesses can register to accept the card for free, no per transaction or monthly account fees ever.
Funds are transferred once a transaction is processed, the card must be activated before use.
