No your information is 100% private

If a driver or cab or uber can be organised for you then it will be and you will be advised well in advance. If you can give us more than 48 hrs then the chances go up considerably.
Is there a cost for provided accommodation for myself or other family members?
No Rural Aid will either source a room for you with one of our supporters or we’ll cover the cost of your accommodation through donations and sponsorship.
Is there a cost for providing transportation for myself or other family members?

You will be contacted via sms with our direct number and if changes need to be made you can organise that individually with our team when they are in contact with you

How often might my offered room be required?
Due to the unexpected nature of emergency healthcare, we really have no way of knowing in advance how often a room might be required. We will endeavour to spread the load between all of our generous hosts, so that no one person is unduly burdened.
What does ‘short notice’ mean?
Here at Rural Aid we understand that many of our hosts have significant commitments outside of our program. As a result we will ensure that our hosts have a minimum of three hours notice prior to the arrival of a rural family.

Do I need a National Police Check to volunteer for BEAP?
Yes you do.
If you don’t currently have one, you can apply here.
Can I choose which jobs to take?
Of course! You are free to choose the jobs which suit your availability and areas of expertise.
How long is each job?
Positions are generally 6 weeks long.
This is because the cost of travel across these vast distances is very high.
Jobs of less than 6 weeks may be considered if there is more than one family needing assistance in an area.
There is a job available, but there it isn’t within my teaching area. Should I apply anyway?
The purpose of this program is to match up volunteers with children and families in a way that gets the best outcomes for everyone.
Applying for a position which doesn’t fit within your experience can make this much more difficult.

There will normally be plenty of time for other fun, educational, activities.
If I want to bring my partner, what do they need to do?
If your partner will be travelling with you, they will need their own working with children and national police checks.

- Community Rescue – Providing restoration to help with the longevity and sustainability of farms and rural communities
- Gift of Music – Providing support for disadvantaged children and youth in rural and remote Australia, by supplying newly purchased and refurbished donated instruments to schools to add to or instigate music programs.
- Mental Health Counselling – Providing a free counselling service which supports rural communities across Australia with full time mental health counsellors on the ground.
Register your interest in sponsoring a community rescue trip, a counsellor, a hay drop or supplying instruments to children in rural communities below, and we’ll call you up to discuss your options and preferences.
You can either sponsor with a financial donation, or by providing an in-kind donation at the value of your choice.
Our former and current corporate sponsors and partners have seen incredible results from aligning with our brand, such as – increasing their sales by 215% over previous best ever campaigns, customer engagement at record levels, in-store donations breaking all previous records, just to name a few.
Many workplaces will have Workplace Giving options available, giving you the opportunity to deduct an amount you determine from your pre-tax pay to be donated to a charity of your choice. This can be an incredibly effective, low-cost funding model that can assist us enormously in helping the farming families of Australia.
Some companies will even match your donation, doubling the impact of your generosity. And if you make a donation directly from your pay, it’s tax free! Even the smallest amount can make a difference.
Speak to your employer about workplace giving and your options to make Rural Aid your charity of choice. You can also check if your workplace is signed up to the Good2Give platform, making workplace giving easy as ever!

- Truck Poster Fundraiser
Host a Truck Poster Fundraiser to see if your workplace can raise enough money to fill a full truck load of hay. Order our truck poster and stickers and for every $20 or $50 donation, you write the name of the donor / employee on the sticker and place it on the poster. Easy as!

Donate $1 from every parmy you sell during a period of time or a specific Parma for a Farmer event and raise money for our farmers.
There are several ways to get your staff engaged in lending a hand for the land. Corporate Volunteering with Rural Aid will be a whole new experience for your company and your team members. If you, like most organisations, are looking for CSR engagement and an opportunity for your staff to do something that achieves results and is a bit different, Rural Aid is your partner.
