It’s not often you hear governments being praised but I would like to extend a great deal of thanks to the current NSW government and the Minister for Primary Industries Niall Blair.
As part of our assistance package to help rural communities across NSW, we’ve been able to access state government subsidies for fodder transport. Annually this budget is set at $500,000 for a whole year. In our movement of 5000 bales of hay we have been able to receive over $600,000 in assistance and it is continuing. This same fund we have been able to access is available to all registered charities in NSW who have registered with the NSW Rural Assistance Authority. The government has committed to extend this funding until the drought breaks, a great commitment to farmers of NSW
This same NSW RAA fund has since the new state budget just last month also issued $7m in funding to farmers in the low interest and no interest budget initiatives. Thank you NSW Govt from Rural Aid for your assistance to us, we appreciate it and it has helped us deliver more assistance to farmers across NSW.
