I am from this town and want to volunteer
Amy Palmer from Cunnamulla said,
“I was so shocked and then so excited to hear that we had been a successful applicant. I think I was a little bit incoherent for a few seconds. Then a feeling of relief mixed with my excitement because someone was coming to help breathe new life into our town and show society where we are struggling to keep our committee going. I felt like this was an exciting new chapter for us and just couldn’t believe we were so lucky.”

Cunnamulla is a thriving metropolis in Far South West QLD. Despite being hit by drought since 2013 the community continues to work together to make our town a place where we all want to be.

We have many young families who have made Cunnamulla their home and who are passionate about making it a better place for their children to grow up. Through all the diversity we have been through we still have smiles on our faces and a willingness to move onwards and upwards to make our community a better place.

Showgrounds

We want to bring our showgrounds to life to reflect the traditions and history that has made our town what it is today and make it a place where we can gather as a community and create a sense of ownership and belonging. A 21st Century meeting place of agriculture, entertainment, education and wellbeing.
