For Christmas 2026, Rural Aid, with the help of Santos, reactivated the Christmas cards for farmers program. A few years ago, thousands of school kids from all over Australia sent Christmas cards to our Aussie farmers. The impact was incredible.

These handmade cards didn’t just lift the spirits of our farmers—they also created a connection between country and city kids. A simple message like, “Thank you so much for everything you do to produce our food,” meant the world to them.

Our farmers come from various sectors, including grazing, crops such as wheat and sugar, prawn farming, vegetable growing, and even grape and poultry production—the list goes on. By participating, your students will help put smiles on the faces of farming families who are doing it tough.

How to Get Involved
