Central West Queensland

The Central West Queensland Community Builders kicked off with Stage 1 in October 2023 and worked with the seven towns of Aramac, Blackall, Clermont, Ilfracombe, Isisford, Jericho and Tambo. The completion of the first stage was celebrated with a graduation evening in May 2024.

The Cluster Musters provided a platform for locals to showcase their town, share ideas, and to network with other communities in the region.

Through workshops, presentations, and interactive sessions, these events highlighted the opportunities for towns to capitalise on their strengths and explore new possibilities.

Stage 2 Community Opportunity Workshops (C.O.W.s) commenced in July 2024 and involved the towns of Aramac, Blackall, Clermont, Isisford, and Tambo. It was an opportunity for these towns to engage with their wider communities, including young people at local schools, and begin the process of asset mapping and action planning through a series of interactive workshops and focus groups.

As of December 2024, these five towns are in the process of finalising their Community Action Plans.
