About the role
The Marketing & Communications Co-ordinator is a newly created role within Rural Aid’s Fundraising, Marketing and Communication (FMC) team. The role has two main aims; to provide support to members of the FMC team in implementing their marketing plans and activities, and to serve as the focal point for co-ordination of marketing and communication service requests from other business areas within Rural Aid.

This is a wonderful opportunity to gain a diverse range of experience and learn from a great team.

In this role you will monitor Rural Aid channels (websites, social media, editorial media, telemarketing) and report and advise on issues and amendments required to maintain accuracy and alignment with marketing plans.

You will manage Rural Aid’s brand content materials, including logos, templates and printed collateral to ensure content is available, accessible, accurate and up to date.

This is a great opportunity to co-ordinate content and publication of regular communication pieces, including external newsletters.

You will play a key role in collating data to support regular reporting across marketing and communication channels (e.g. social media, Google Analytics, media monitors).

You will provide administrative support to the FMC team members. This may include co-ordination of marketing campaign material, media event liaison, booking of external suppliers (e.g. printers, videographers) and data cleansing and other tasks associated with Rural Aid’s CRM.

As the first point of call for enquires and support requests from the internal Rural Aid team, you will play an integral role in maintaining the team’s work-in-progress folders and communicating with team members to ensure marketing strategies and tactics are being actioned and implemented on time.

About you

You have an understanding of or experience in marketing and communication principles and channels, including; website management, social media channels, email marketing, media release development, event co-ordination, public relations.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

You pride yourself on your strong organisational ability, good time management and ability to manage multiple tasks.

We’d love it if you had some experience working in or with fundraising or within a not for profit organisation.

Ideally you will have worked with relevant systems; Microsoft suite, Meta/Facebook Ads Manager, HubSpot, Google Analytics, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and WordPress.

Counsellor & Community Representative

Location: Longreach, Queensland

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Counsellor and Community Representative, in the Longreach, Winton & Emerald region, to join our team. Forming a key part of our national Mental Health & Wellbeing team, reporting to the Manager, Mental Health & Wellbeing. The Counsellor and Community Representative will offer counselling support to farmers and farming families, while building trust and rapport, listening to their story and exploring how they are coping at present, assessing their safety and those around them. They will divide their time between providing counselling on site with rural farmers, travelling within rural communities, representing Rural Aid within community events and activities and remote counselling services working from home. In this role you will collaboratively identify options for further support and facilitate access to relevant resources and referrals, when required.

Disaster Assistance Administrator

Location: Brisbane, Queensland

The People & Capability Coordinator will assist in driving outcomes of our People & Capability plan in line with Rural Aid’s Strategic Goals. This is a generalist HR role, which will provide a wide range of strategic and operational advice to all members of the organisation. This is a genuine part time role with great flexibility, and the opportunity to make a real difference. Hours flexible for the right candidate, ability to work up to 30 hours per week.

Marketing Manager

Location: Brisbane, Queensland

The Marketing Manager is a key stakeholder in driving Rural Aid’s marketing strategy, in order to strengthen the organisational brand, grow the Rural Aid supporter base and deliver maximum donations to support Rural Aid’s registered farmers. It is expected that suitable applicants for this role will have 5+ years of relevant, practical experience.

Role responsibilities include:

  • Channel marketing management and reporting, including content updates, channel integration and ensuring optimum performance and operation
  • Appeals and fundraising campaign development in liaison with external agencies
  • Content strategy and planning across all marketing channels
  • Donor segmentation development and journey mapping, through effective email campaign management

Marketing Coordinator

Location: Brisbane, Queensland

The role of the Marketing Coordinator is to deliver effective marketing and fundraising campaigns to raise brand awareness and drive income to fund Rural Aid’s programs that support farmers./p>

Role responsibilities include:

  • Implementing marketing channel plans for communication with supporters through multiple channels – email, SMS and telemarketing
  • Co-ordinating the fundraising program for individual giving, developing customer journeys and stewarding supporters with an aim to build engagement and loyalty
  • Providing support for growth of the regular giving program, growing supporter numbers and increasing donation amounts
  • Co-ordinating fundraising drives from fundraiser groups and through fundraising platforms
  • Developing supporter insights to drive growth, through dashboards, campaign analysis and from quarterly brand tracking data
  • Provide administrative support to other FMC team members where required. This may include co-ordination of marketing campaign material, media event liaison, booking of external suppliers (e.g. printers, videographers) and data cleansing and other tasks associated with Rural Aid’s CRM
